Education Qualification

The following are the education qualification for IAS Examination-

  • The candidates must have a graduation degree from a recognized university
  • The candidates who are awaiting result or are in final year can also participate in the IAS entrance examination
  • The candidates having professional and technical qualification recognized by the government as professional and technical degrees are also eligible for participating in the examination
  • Medical students who have passed the final year of MBBS can also apply for the examination without completing their internship however, along with the mains examination application, the candidates must provide a certificate of course completion (including internship) from the concerned authority of the University/Institution

  • Visit the official website of UPSC and navigate to the examination tab followed by clicking on the active examination tab
  • Now, click on the link for UPSC CSE examination 2023 button
  • A new page will appear where you’ll find the apply button which you have to click on
  • After clicking the button, you have to get yourself registered using your email ID and password
  • After the registration is complete, login to your account using the login credentials
  • After logging in, you’ll have filled the registration form using the correct details like name, address, email Id, education qualification, etc.
  • After filling the form, you’ve to upload the documents mentioned below followed by clicking on the next button

For Preliminary Examination

  • A scanned photograph of yourself
  • A scanned signature of yourself
  • Government-issued Photo-id card
  • Aadhaar Card/Voter Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving License/Any other Photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government

For Mains Examination

  • Matriculation or secondary school leaving certificate for proof of age
  • University awarded degree or equivalent qualification recognized by UPSC
  • EWS Certificate (if any)
  • SC/ST certification (if any)
  • Disability certificate (if applicable
  • Documents supporting non-creamy layer OBC status (if applicable
