Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria that the candidate must have to participate in the examination, which is as follows-
- Candidates must be a citizen of India, OCI & PIO
For SCB
- Candidates who have passed their class 12th or equivalent exam with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics with 60% or equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST candidates)
- JEE Scores/KYVP Scores/ are required by the candidates
For KYVP
- Candidate must have cleared 12th class with 60% (50% for SC/ST/PWD) marks in aggregate in Mathematics and Science subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology)
For JEE Advanced
- Candidates who have passed their class 12th or equivalent exam with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics
IISER 2023 Application Form
The following are the steps that you can follow to register for the IISER entrance examination-
- The registration for IISER can be done online. Visit the official website of the IISER- http://www.iiseradmission.in/
- Click on the apply button
- Click on the Registration button followed by clicking on the signup button
- Now, signup using mobile number, email, name, and other important details
- Confirm your registration using an email sent to you from IISER
- Now login to your website and click on the registration form
- Fill the form using correct details followed by uploading the document mentioned below
- Now payment page appears, you can pay the application fee using UPI, Credit/debit card, net banking, etc.
- After paying the application fee, download the Payment confirmation followed by a printout of the filled application form for future use
Documents Required for IISER application
- Colored photograph
- Signature on white background with black/ blue ink pen
- First and last pages of passport in case nationality is not Indian
- Mark sheets/ grade cards from class 10th onwards
- Caste certificate for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL candidates
- Disability certificates for PWD candidates
- INMO certificate issued by NBHM for B.Stat/ B.Math, if applicable
- GATE score card for M.Tech CS/ CRS, if applicable

IISER Selection Process
The selection process of IISER will be based on the national-level entrance examination as well as the examination organised by IISER. The candidate must go through the entrance examination of the course to get admission also the candidate must meet the minimum cut-off mark decided by the institute. After clearing the entrance exam and meeting minimum cut-off marks.
IISER Cut-off
Cut-off mark is the minimum mark or score that is required by the candidate to take admission into the institute. The cut-off mark depends on many different factors like no of participants, availability of seats, the difficulty of the examination, etc.
IISER Counselling
Counselling is where the candidates who have passed the entrance examination seek admission in the eligible college. Counselling session is organised by the colleges to invite the candidates for admission in their colleges. In this event, you have to visit the venue on the notified date with the necessary documents and confirm your seat. You have to select the college that you want to choose as well however the availability of the college also depends on the merit.
