JEE Advanced 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced entrance examination-

  • The candidate must have passed class 12th from a recognized board
  • The candidates appearing in the final year board examination can also apply for JEE Advanced examination
  • A candidate can participate in the entrance examination a maximum of 2 times in a consecutive year
  • The candidate’s age should be less than 25 years of age however, 5-year relaxation will be provided to the candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PWD category

JEE Advanced 2023 Counselling

Counselling is an event where the candidates who have passed the JEE Advance examination are commenced and facilitated with admission into the institute. It is organized by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority. After clearing the entrance examination, the candidates have to follow these steps to apply for the counselling session-

  • Visit the official website of Joint Seat Allocation Authority and click on the login button or seat counselling button
  • Now, login to your account using your login credential like JEE application number and password
  • After logging in, you’ll have to click on the choice filling tab and add all the choices you want to apply for
  • Now, click on the apply button and your counselling application has been initiated

Now, each college will release a minimum cut-off marks list in different counselling stages and at each stage, you’ll have to compare the cut-off marks and your marks. If your marks are more than the cut-off marks then you can simply visit the IIT Campus and confirm your admission by submitting your documents

Documents Required for JEE Advanced Counselling

The following are the documents required for JEE Advanced counselling-

  • Seat Allotment Letter
  • Admit card of JEE Advanced 2023
  • Proof of Date of Birth: Class X/HSC/Birth Certificate/Any other certificate as proof of date of birth
  • Photo Identity Card
  • Class XII/SSC/Equivalent exam Mark sheet and Certificate of passing
  • Proof of seat acceptance fee payment
  • Two passport size photographs
  • Category Certificate (OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PWD/DS) issued by the competent authority
  • Duly filled Medical Examination Report
  • For foreign nationals: Attested photocopy of the page in the passport containing name, photo and nationality
