Jio Scholarship program is an initiative by the biggest telecom company in India to promote education amongst the youth by financially supporting the needy.

Students who are good at studies by do not have a sound financial situation can participate in the Jio scholarship program and receive annual financial support to pursue studies.

JIO Scholarship 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria for the Jio Scholarship program-

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India
  • He/She must belong to the Economic Weaker Section (EWS)
  • The financial aid is provided for X, XI, XII, Graduation, and Post Graduation level candidates. The following are the education requirements for applying for financial support-
    • Class X– Minimum 70% marks in the state board exam (85% for candidates belonging to CBSE and ISCE)
    • Class XI– Minimum 70% marks in the state board exam (85% for candidates belonging to CBSE and ISCE)
    • Class XII– Minimum 70% marks in the state board exam (85% for candidates belonging to CBSE and ISCE)
    • Graduate Examination-Minimum 75% marks aggregate
    • Post Graduate Examination-Minimum 75% marks aggregate

How to apply for JIO Scholarship?

The following are the step by step methods for applying for the Jio scholarship-

Offline Application

  • Visit the nearest Jio Office and fill the application form for the Jio scholarship program
  • After filling the application form, submit it along with the documents mentioned below
  • Now, after filling out the application form, you have to submit the application form at the office only
  • Now, you’ll be notified about the application status on your contact details mentioned on your application form

Online Application

You can also apply for the Jio scholarship online by following the step by step method-

  • Visit the official website of the Reliance Foundation’s Jio scholarship by following this link- https://www.scholarships.reliancefoundation.org/
  • Now, click on the application portal tab followed by clicking on the Check eligibility button
  • After checking the eligbility button, click on the Next button
  • A new window with an application form will appear
  • Fill the application form with correct details, now upload the documents mentioned below and click on the Next button
  • Now, take the printout of the application form and keep it safe for future reference.

Selection Procedure for JIO Scholarship

The selection for the Jio scholarship will be based on the merit list prepared. The candidates who have good marks in the qualification examination along with meeting other eligibility criteria will be ranked higher.

A second verification of the candidate will be done in which his/her academic and extra-curriculum will be analyzed to provide the scholarship to the most deserving candidate.

After the selection of the candidate, the candidate’s bank account will be credited annually with an amount as a scholarship. The candidate can then use the funds to pay the college/school fee.
