SBI Clerk 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria that a candidate must follow to take part in the SBI CLERK entrance examination-

Education Qualifications

  • The candidate must have cleared the graduation in any stream

Nationality

  • Candidate must be an Indian Citizen or, a Subject of Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India or Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India in their favor.

Age Criteria

  • There is a minimum age criterion of 20 years of age and maximum age criteria of 28 years of age, however, for the reserved category SC/ST & OBC, the age limit relaxation years is as follows-

How to Apply for SBI Clerk 2022?

The following are the steps that the candidate must follow to apply for the SBI Clerk which is as follow-

  • Visit the official website of the SBI Clerk- sbi.co.in/web/careers/current-openings
  • Register on the website with your email Id, mobile number, name
  • You have to fill the application form by navigating to the application form
  • Some of the details that you must fill on the application form are Date of Birth, Category, Nationality, qualification details such as Year of Passing, Percentage of marks, etc, details to contact, and choice for the exam center.
  • Now click on the proceed button
  • Now upload the necessary documents mentioned below
  • A payment page asking for paying the application fee will appear. You can pay your application fee using a credit/debit card, UPI, Bank Challan, etc.
  • A confirmation page will appear that you have to download the payment fee confirmation as well as the application fee for future use

Document Required for Applying SBI Clerk

The following are the necessary document that you must upload on the website while filling the application-

  • The Scanned image of the Passport size Photograph of the candidate should be in JPG/JPEG format and the Image size should be between 10Kb to 200Kb.
  • The Scanned image of the Signature of the candidate should be in JPG/JPEG format and the Image size should be between 4Kb to 30Kb
  • The Scanned image of the Left-Hand Thumb Impression of the candidate should be in JPG format and the Image size should be between 10Kb to 50Kb
  • The Scanned image of the Class 10th and 12th  Certificate of the candidate should be in JPG format and the Image size should be between 100Kb to 300Kb
  • The Scanned image of the Graduation Degree of the candidate should be in JPG format and the Image size should be between 100Kb to 300Kb
  • The Scanned image of Post Card size Photograph of the candidate should be in JPG format and the Image size should be between 50Kb to 300Kb

SBI Clerk Result

The result for the SBI Clerk examination will be declared after the examination is conducted in all phases. The candidate has to visit the official website of the SBI Clerk and navigate to the result tab to check his/her result.

SBI Clerk Selection Process

The selection process will be based on the cumulative marks scored by the candidate at every stage. The candidates must score minimum cut-off marks set by SBI during each stage of examination and become eligible for participating in the next stage of examination. SBI Clerk examination is divided into three stages-Prelims, Mains, and Language Proficiency Test

Candidates who passed prelims will be eligible for Mains and candidates who passed the mains and Language Proficiency Test. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks scored in the mains examination and LPT. Cut-off marks will be released for this stage separately and the candidates who scored more than or equal to the cut-off marks will be provided with the job, however, it is also subject to the seats available as well. 

At the final stage, the documents of the candidates will be checked and final verification of the documents will be done. The following are the documents that the candidate must carry with themselves-

  • Printout of the valid Interview Call Letter.
  • The valid system generated a printout of the online application form
  • Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Municipal Authorities or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with DOB)
  • Photo Identify Proof – candidate’s photo identity (bearing the same name as it appears on the call letter) such as PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving Licence/ Voter’s Card/ Bank Passbook with photograph/ Photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer/ People’s Representative along with a photograph / Identity Card issued by a recognized college/ university/ Aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID should be submitted to the invigilator for verification
  • Ration Card and E-Aadhar card will not be accepted as valid id proof
  • Mark-sheets & certificates for Graduation or equivalent qualification etc. Proper document from Board/University for having completed the degree has to be submitted
  • Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by the Government of India in the case of SC / ST / OBC category candidates
